Getting there
| The journey to Sunrise Beach Lodge is a unique aspect of this location, where there is no road access. You can choose from either a 15 minute boat ride along the Mulgrave River from the Deeral boat ramp – which is approximately 30km and 30 minutes drive south from Cairns – or charter a helicopter.Please call Cape York Helicopters for a heli transfer – 4035 9400 www.capeyorkhelicopters.com
Please note that safe passage of the river can be tidally dependent and we encourage you to contact us for local knowledge regarding tides, times, and route. Safe boat mooring is available in the Anna Branch, which is a loop off the Inlet to the rear of the community. We will inform you of local etiquette regarding where to moor your vessel. We use and recommend Deeral Boat Storage for the safe storage of your vehicle/s and boat trailer. Please call Bill on 40675 023 and he will assist you with boat launching and storage.
